"Where" is "there"? The Master, the very One who created all hearts, says that our hearts follow our money. The money trail determines where the heart affections are. Where does your money trail lead? Where is your heart being led?
“Jesus says, ‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.’ This verse seems to indicate that the way a believer spends money may be the clearest indication—perhaps like a thermometer—of the heart’s spiritual condition. If that is the case, then one might conclude that if one does not give money to the church to help others, one falls into the category of those who do not have the fruits that ought to accompany the presence of grace in their lives. And if the tree is not bearing fruit, is the root itself good?” — John Ronsvalle, American researcher3
According to the Matchless Savior, our hearts are being led in the direction that our money is being paid out/directed. Based upon this divine nugget given by our LORD, some Bible teachers have correctly stated: Show me a person's checkbook and I will show you the priorities of his life and where his affections are.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:15-17
If a person's heart is empty and conscience unclear, he may want to examine his giving record. When we don't give at least the tenth part to the LORD’s all-important work, our hearts follow where we are spending the revenues entrusted to us. If that is not first to the LORD, it is to the world. Where is your heart being led? The flow of our money will bring with it the affections of our hearts.
Did you realize that the essential fear of the LORD is instilled and nurtured when we honor Him by giving the first part of what we earn to His work?
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always. Deuteronomy 14:22-23
Placing our monies into the wrong venues/hands assures backsliding of heart (Malachi).
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4
Tithers live happy lives because they have clear consciences and are filled with the joy of giving and continuing to establish that what they have in their possession is not theirs but Gods. "increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God." (2 Cor. 9:10)
Tithers hearts are following where they are placing their revenues - into the glorious Gospel of Christ, where the joy of the LORD abounds. The secret to joyful living is in giving. Givers are glad and the selfish are sad.
“The principal hindrance to the advancement of the kingdom of God is greed. It is the chief obstacle to heaven-sent revival. It seems that when the back of greed is broken, the human spirit soars into regions of unselfishness. I believe that it is safe to say there can be no continuous revival without ‘hilarious’ giving. And I fear no contradiction: wherever there is ‘hilarious’ giving there will soon be revival!” — O.S. Hawkins, U.S. Baptist pastor
Correct stewardship leads to the joy of the LORD.
If the FIRST portion of all the monies we receive go to the Gospel, so our hearts will prioritize and be engrossed in the Gospel of Christ. The same is true for worldly things - our hearts follow where our monies are being directed. This is simply how things work according to divine wisdom. Follow His wisdom and joy and blessings will result. Selah.
“The world asks, ‘What does a man own?’ Christ asks, ‘How does he use it?’ ” — Andrew Murray (1828-1917), South African evangelist and writer
One thing is for sure, the tither lives happy as a result of his obedience to the LORD. He has a clear conscience. The non-tither (thief) has an unclear conscience, even if he has much money to live on - he can't even enjoy what he has whether that be little or much because he is stealing what is God's.
“Liberality in giving is a good sign of a genuine revival.” — Thomas E. Peck (1822-93), American preacher and writer
Thank the LORD that today is a new day beloved! "His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21 (life-changing memory verse)
Giving is the beginning of revival! Give the LORD you claim to serve what is rightfully His. Set yourself to obey the LORD right this moment. "Break off thy sins by righteousness (by doing what is right)." Daniel 4:27
Do you want change? Do you want bountiful blessings from the LORD? Do what is right in His sight concerning the monies you bring in, and He promises to pour you out blessings you cannot contain (Mal. 3:8-11).
Get your checkbook out and deal in truthful obedience to the LORD by tithing where you are being fed (Gal. 6:6). Remember, our LORD told us that the kingdom of God is within us and that His house is a "spiritual house" (Lk. 17:21; 1 Pet. 2:5). This obedience will strike your heart with fear of the LORD, which is clean (Ps 19:9).
Beloved, we must immediately stop the madness of funding unfruitful ministries! The financial flow in the modern industry of church business is not pretty nor is it fulfilling the Great Commission our LORD gave us to teach ALL things HE commanded. His eternal kingdom is not being advanced in the hearts of men and in the earth through church services that are designed to entertain and further lull to sleep those already at ease in Zion (Amos 6:1). Yet nothing is going to change until the true remnant of the LORD ceases to fund false ministries (unfruitful according to New Testament standards) and begins to financially fund the true Gospel through full-counsel, God-fearing servants who labor for the glory of Jesus Christ alone - whereever they find themselves and not just behind a pulpit or in a church building. Friend of Jesus, cause every dollar you give to make an eternal difference in the hearts of men. Jesus is Coming!
Saint of God, Jesus Christ is all-knowing and sees everything and will reward every good deed, love offering or work done in His name and love.

The Laid Down Life
The creation and development of Scripture-intensive resources to build up Christ’s body, including leaders, and, the creation and distribution of evangelistic tools for the winning of lost souls into the kingdom of God. These are supplied to Gospel workers around the world. Preach, warn, and teach the truth (Col. 1:28). One of the central thrusts of our calling and service to Christ is to prayerfully, biblically, and diligently safeguard the souls of His people from deception by establishing in their hearts the final authority and eternal blessings associated with being personally rooted and grounded in His Word and in His love (Prov. 22:17-21; Jn. 5:39; Acts 20:20-32; Phil. 3:1; 2 Tim. 2:15;3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:3-4,12-21; 1 Jn. 2:24-33; 4:1-3; 2 Jn. 7-11; Rev. 2:1-5).
