“AS HE THINKETH”
"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7
Our direction and quality of life is largely based upon what we choose to allow to occupy or indwell our minds and thought life. So, in order to have God's wisdom, quality and standard of living on this earth, we must think upon those things which glorify Him. What we allow to dwell is going to determine the success we experience in pleasing th
e Most High God who bought us with His precious blood.
Have you noticed that taking all thoughts captive into obedience to Christ (2 Cor. 10:3-6) is a full time occupation? We are instructed to be "vigilant" because "your adversary the devil, walketh about seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8) If allow, our thought life is the enemy's entrance point that he utilizes in order to gain a controlling point (stronghold) in our lives. If he controls our thinking, he controls us. Whoever is allowed to control the thinking, controls the person. This is why it is so important that we follow the divinely given prescription for our minds and thoughts. This is how we will successfully keep Satan uprooted from our minds and lives as we see the winding down of this current temporal world system and that Great Day of Christ rapidly approaching. Rejoice Saints!
"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (He's coming soon);" 1 Peter 1:13
"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Ephesians 4:23-24
"And be not conformed to this world (its thinking): but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2
The difference between wise and foolish virgin believers is that the wise ones keep getting back up when they stumble/sin, like David did. They also guard their thought life and keep themselves with God as they keep their thoughts centered and flowing into Him. See Matthew 25:1-13.
"Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (this is the pivotal instruction). And (consequently) the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (now He tells us what to meditate upon/think about) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:6-8
As the believer makes all his requests (big or little) known to God and gives Him thanks for all things, the peace of the LORD which goes beyond our natural understanding, will fill and sustain our hearts and minds now and unto the return of Christ.
Prayer To The LORD:
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." Psalms 19:14
Peace of Mind In Jesus.
